Since its inception in 2010 in Kampala by the Kenyan-born Rwandan safari guide Prince Sabena, Redroad Tours has dedicated time and effort to understand Uganda’s travel and tourism ecosystem, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. Redroad Tours was spawned in reaction to three pain points that seemed to trouble Uganda’s travel industry then; limited professionalism, limited diversity of activities, and complacency. We set out to be a local DMC focused on providing fulfilling travel excursions based on five core pillars; safety, excellence, diversity, sustainable tourism, and professionalism from day one.
A decade of experience has equipped us with a firm understanding of the needs and expectations of visiting tourists and the understanding of how to execute authentic and wholesome travel experiences consistently. Over time, our reach has grown far and wide, with a local presence in all of East Africa’s major destinations.
We are a DMC that specialises in providing bespoke safaris and experiences for FITs and groups. However, cultural immersion and off-the-beaten-path activities are the signature features of our safaris. In the spirit of sustainable tourism, we provide access to wildlife populations, places, plants, and people.
For so long, the mantra, “This is Africa,” has been used to brush aside the poor service and unsatisfactory conditions travellers have to contend with while visiting the region.
