
This tour makes for a fun and quick safari trip for those with little time to spare. You can take a weekend off and head to Lake Mburo a small park, boosting a healthy number of wildlife to be seen. Encounter giraffes, impalas, cape buffaloes, kobs, hippos, elands among others.
A representative of Redroad tours will pick you up at 7am from your accommodation after which you will depart for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park. This drive lasts between 3 – 4 hours with a break at the Equator, the world’s main latitude that divides the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Great place to take some photos and get a quick geography lesson and also buy some souvenirs.
Arrive at your accommodation in Lake Mburo National park, check in, have lunch and a few minutes to relax before heading out for the first activity of your trip, which is an evening game drive. There will be quite a number of animals to see; elands, zebras, topis, girraffes and you might even catch the elusive leopard.
On this day, in the morning, another game drive awaits. After this game drive, take a boat ride on the Lake Mburo, which lends its name to this small park. You’ll see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and some birds too.
