A visa is required by most foreign nationals in order to enter Rwanda, as well as a passport valid for six months from the date of entry.
Visas can be purchased on arrival by visitors from the USA, UK, Australia, Germany and Sweden, but travelers from other countries will need to arrange their visa in advance.
A visa for Rwanda can be single-entry, lasting 30 days, or multiple entry, lasting 90 days.

There is also the option of purchasing an East Africa tourist visa, which lasts for 90 days and is valid for multiple entries to Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda. The cost is USD$100 at the time of writing.
