Most foreign nationals will require a visa to enter Kenya. In most cases, these can be very easily arranged either at the international airport or at the land borders with Tanzania or Uganda.
To save time and hassle, we recommend arranging an electronic visa (e-visa) before you travel through the government’s online portal.
Visas cost approximately USD$50 and are usually valid for three months from the date of issue.
Note that if you plan to travel beyond Kenya, you can also get a 90-day, multi-entry East Africa Tourist Visa which covers Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda and costs approximately USD$100. The first country listed on the visa must be your first arrival point, and no visa extensions are possible.
