You will be picked up from your accommodation early this morning at 5:00 AM and then transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your early/mid-morning flight to Kisoro or Kihihi Airport. Upon arrival at Kisoro or Kihihi Airport, you will be met by another driver and then transferred to your accommodation.
Check in and spend the rest of your day either at leisure or on a visit to the Batwa “dwarf/little people” community. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the forest, who for centuries have lived in it and now live off it by engaging in cultural tourism.
Today is gorilla trekking day! After an early breakfast, grab your packed lunch, and then your driver will take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing, which starts at 8:00 AM, before heading out into Bwindi Forest. The briefing is to prepare and educate you about the gorillas and the forest itself.
Gorilla trekking is a thrilling half to full-day activity depending on the movements of the apes. After you find the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them, after which you will head back to the park headquarters, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the lodge.
Check out of your lodge by 6:00 AM, transfer to Kisoro/Kihihi Airport to catch your morning flight back to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, you can catch your flight back home or be transferred to your home/ hotel by our driver.
