Book Itinerary
Day1

Depart from Kampala/Entebbe

You will be picked up from your accommodation early this morning at 6:00 AM. An early start ensures you beat any rush hour traffic and arrive at your destination on time. You will travel southwest through districts, Wakiso, Mpigi, and Masaka, and as you drive, you will notice the topography change from bustling towns to farmlands, mountains, and finally forests.

You will make a couple of stops for lunch and take bathroom breaks. On arrival in Bwindi, check into your accommodation and spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day2

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

Today is gorilla trekking day. After an early breakfast, grab your packed lunch, and then your driver will take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing, which starts at 8:00 AM, before heading out into Bwindi Forest. The briefing is to prepare and educate you about the gorillas and the forest itself.

Gorilla trekking is a thrilling half to full-day activity depending on the movements of the apes. After you find the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them, after which you will head back to the park headquarters, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the lodge. You may spend the rest of your day at leisure or visit the local Batwa “dwarf/little people” community to learn about their former way of life and how significant Bwindi Forest is to them.

Day3

Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Check out of your lodge by 7:00 AM, and travel back to Kampala or Entebbe. You will have lunch en route, take bathroom breaks, and stopover for a couple of photo-ops.

• Round-trip ground transportation in a 4WD safari van or safari land cruiser
• One gorilla trekking permit per person
• Meals as indicated in the meal plan
• Bottled drinking water for the duration of the trip
