Accommodations
Meal plan
6 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 5 dinners
You will be picked up from your accommodation early this morning at 5:00 AM and then transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your early/mid-morning flight to Kisoro or Kihihi Airport. On arrival at Kisoro or Kihihi Airport, you will be picked up by another driver and then trans-ferred to your accommodation.
Check in and spend the rest of your day either at leisure or on a visit to the Batwa community. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the forest, who for cen-turies have lived in it and now live off it by engaging in cultural tourism.
Have an early breakfast, leave the lodge between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, and head to the Uganda Wildlife Association (UWA) office for a briefing before Gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking itself does not have a specific time frame because the animals move around quite a bit.
It could take a few hours or half a day. It is considered a full-day activity. When guests find the Gorillas, they’ll spend 1 hour with them. Head back to the park headquarters, where your driver will take you back to your lodge.
Depart from your accommodation in Bwindi early morning by 6:00 AM and head to Kisoro Airport for your flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive at your lodge in QENP, check in, enjoy the lodge’s amenities, and then later, after lunch, go on a private boat safari on the Kazinga Channel.
The channel connects two lakes, Edward and George, and has the largest hippo population in Uganda. Animals like elephants, buffalo, and plenty of birds can be seen here as well. After your boat excursion, drive back to your accommodation for dinner and spend the night.
This morning, you will embark on a carnivore tracking excursion and a game drive in the Kasenyi plains of QENP. The carnivore program is an exciting way to get a closer look at leopards and lions, and also contributes to the conservation efforts of the big cats. These plains are also famous for their various antelopes and other wild animals.
After your game viewing, drive to Kibale Forest National Park. On arrival, check into your accommodation, have lunch, and spend the rest of your day at leisure.
Depart your lodge by 7:00 AM after breakfast and head into the forest for chimp trekking. The starting time of the activity is 8:00 AM, after a short briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will spend about 1 hour with the chimpanzees, watching and learning about them.
Back at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and then go on a swamp walk in Bigodi Wetland. This swamp is home to a variety of smaller primates like colobus and red-tailed monkeys, birds, and is a great place for botanists/plant lovers.
Today, check out of your accommodation after breakfast and head to Kasese Airport to catch your flight back to Entebbe Airport.
